Staffordshire has a very convenient location. One can enjoy the life of the countryside and the rich natural beauty of the area while commuting to a larger town like Birmingham for work. A well-connected road and rail network makes this a feasible option.

It offers a wide range of activities

Staffordshire offers a wide range of activities to choose from. One could go sight-seeing to places like Cannock Chase and the moors or ride a boat along the canals. The Peak District National Park is also a Must visit for nature enthusiasts. One could take the children to the National Memorial Arboretum.

Tamworth, Leek, Uttoxeter are all market towns where one could shop from. Tamworth has an indoor skiing facility with real snow. Drayton Manor is an amusement park that can be visited for a fun weekend. 

Leek is known for its various markets on different days of the week. For example every month a fine food market is held on the third Saturday, an antique market is held on Saturdays among others. One could shop for delicate china goods from Stoke-on-Trent which is famous for pottery. The well-known racecourse in the town of Uttoxeter is also a go-to-place.

The entire region of West Midlands has a low population density including Staffordshire. Thus, the place can eventually get lonely; especially for those who are used to living in crowded metropolitan cities.

The pace of life is slow in the countryside

Although the place is picturesque, not everyone can adjust to the slow-paced life of the countryside. It might be particularly hard for people who are used to hustle and bustle of a busy city.

Lack of availability of good medical care

There is a woeful shortage of high-quality medical care. Many people have complained about the quality of healthcare provided by the hospitals in the county.

It does not offer many choices  for higher education

The county has eight schools but only two universities. Therefore, it does not offer a wide variety of courses to choose from and students might have to move out of the county to pursue a course of their liking.

This beautiful, picturesque county offers a leisurely, relaxed life and offers a wide variety of activities, shops, and eateries to choose from. It might however be lacking in some other aspects like specialized healthcare and schools. However, young healthy adults who want to live an independent, carefree life might enjoy the stay here.
